Drumstick leaves are a great source of Vitamin C, Vitamin D and other vital vitamins which was long unknown. 80 percent of the population suffers from weak limbs and joints. Drumstick leaves fulfill these vitamins which help in bone growth and strength.
Eat these leaves boiling with your Dal or make curry out of it. Eat them once a week to insure healthy bones for yourself all life.

Drumstick Leaves Dal
It is a very simple recipe all you need to do is add a handful of these leaves in your daily Dal and boil it.
Here we have used a mixture of moong, urad and black gram dal. But you can use these leaves in all the dals. They enhance the taste of every boring Dal!

Cooking time - 15 min
Preparation time - 10 min
Serves - 4
Course - main
Ingredients
1 ½ cups fresh drumstick leaves / moringa leaves
¼ cup moong
¼ cup urad dal
¼ cup black gram dal
¼ tsp red chilli powder
Salt as per taste
2½ cups water
For tempering (optional)
2 green chillies
4 cloves garlic
2 tsp Cooking oil
¼ tsp cumin seeds

Description
Wash the dals and drumstick leaves separately.
Separate the leaves from the main stalk. Chop if necessary.
Now take a pressure cooker add the dal, leaves, salt and chillie powder to it.
Add 2½ cups water.
Boil the dal on medium flame for 6-8 whistles.
Dal is ready to eat with rice or chapatis
Tempering (optional)
Heat oil in a thick based pan on a laddle.
Add chopped green chillies and garlic. Add cumin seeds
Roast on low flame for 2-3 mins.
Add to the dal and stir.
Drumstick leaves Dal is ready to eat!
